How to Download Instagram Videos on iPhone

iPhone users have it slightly harder than everyone else — not because downloading is difficult, but because iOS handles downloaded files in a way nobody expects the first time. This guide walks the whole path: from copying the link to seeing the video in your Photos gallery.

The download, step by step

1. Copy the link in Instagram. Tap Share (paper plane) under the post or Reel → Copy Link.
2. Open Safari and go to igramworlds.com. Important: use Safari or Chrome, not the browser inside the Instagram app — in-app browsers block file downloads.
3. Paste and download. Tap the input box → Paste (or use the 📋 Paste button), press Download, then tap Download Video (HD MP4).
4. Confirm Safari's prompt. Safari asks "Do you want to download …?" — tap Download. A blue arrow icon appears at the top of Safari showing progress.

Where did the file go? (The Files app)

Safari saves downloads to the Files app → iCloud Drive (or On My iPhone) → Downloads folder. Tap the blue arrow icon in Safari's toolbar and then the file, or open the Files app directly.

Moving a video into the Photos app

Videos in Files don't automatically show in your camera roll. Two taps fix that:

1. Open the downloaded MP4 in the Files app.
2. Tap the Share icon (square with arrow) → Save Video. It now lives in Photos → Recents like any recording of your own.

Photos are even easier — the Share sheet offers Save Image, which drops the JPG straight into your gallery.

iPhone-specific quirks

• Low Power Mode can pause large downloads when you switch apps mid-transfer. Keep Safari in the foreground for big files.
• The Instagram in-app browser (when you tap a link inside Instagram) can't save files. Always jump to Safari — tap the three dots → "Open in external browser".
• Screen Time content restrictions, if enabled, may block downloads from sites not on the allow-list.

Do you need a shortcut or app? No.
